Course Purpose

Global Perspectives inEducation course aims to cultivate a global perspective among educational leaders by exploring the interconnectedness of education systems worldwide and examining the challenges and opportunities in a globalized world. This course will equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to become globally-minded educational leaders who can effectively navigate the complexities of the 21st century and prepare students to thrive in an interconnected world. Students will develop a deeper understanding of diverse educational systems, cultural contexts, and global issues, enabling them to become more effective and globally-minded educational leaders.

Course Expected Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course, the students are expected to:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of global trends and challenges in education as well as diverse educational philosophies and practices across different cultures and contexts.
  • Develop and implement culturally responsive and inclusive educational programs and foster intercultural understanding and global citizenship among students.
  • Apply a global perspective to educational decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Develop a global mindset and a commitment to intercultural understanding.
  • Embrace lifelong learning and continuous professional development in a globalized context.
