LRM 1005: Human Resource Management & Organizational Leadership – 3 Units
Course Purpose
The purpose of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of human resource management (HRM) and organizational behavior (OB) principles, theories, and practices. Students will learn how to effectively manage human resources and understand the dynamics of organizational behavior to enhance organizational performance and employee satisfaction.
Course Expected Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, students should be able to:
- Explain key HRM and OB theories, concepts, and practices.
- Implement effective HRM strategies, including recruitment, selection, training, and performance management.
- Assess the impact of individual, group, and organizational behaviour on organizational effectiveness.

- Recruitment and Selection: Strategies for effective recruitment and selection processes.
- Training and Development: Designing and implementing training programs to enhance employee skills.
- Performance Management: Techniques for evaluating and improving employee performance.
- Employee Relations: Managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
- Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility: Ethical considerations in HRM and organizational behaviour.
