Course Description
The Master of Arts in Leadership and Resource Management is designed to equip professionals with the advanced knowledge, skills, and ethical frameworks necessary to excel in leadership roles across diverse organizational contexts. This program integrates leadership theories and best practices with a comprehensive understanding of human resource management principles. Students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities while cultivating essential leadership qualities such as emotional intelligence, communication, and team building. The curriculum emphasizes the strategic importance of human resources in achieving organizational goals, fostering innovation, and creating a positive and productive work environment.
Course Objectives:
The general objective of this course is to develop well-rounded leaders who are equipped to navigate the challenges of the 21st-century workplace, drive organizational success, and contribute positively to society.
Upon successful completion of the M.A. in Leadership and Resource Management program, students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of leadership theories and principles:
- Analyze and apply various leadership styles and approaches (transformational, servant, authentic, etc.)
- Understand the ethical and social responsibilities of leaders in contemporary organizations.
- Develop and implement effective leadership strategies in diverse and complex environments.
2. Master key concepts in human resource management:
- Apply strategic human resource planning principles to organizational goals.
- Manage the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and selection to training and development, performance management, and employee relations.
- Understand and apply labour laws, regulations, and ethical considerations in human resource management.
3. Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills:
- Analyze complex organizational challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Conduct research and analyze data to inform decision-making.
- Evaluate and implement change management strategies effectively.
